Habaneros is a chain of restaurants serving authentic Mexican cuisine across Oregon and Washington. With locations in Salem, Portland, Monmouth, and Vancouver, they offer a variety of dishes, including burritos, tacos, tortas, and quesadillas. Their menu features combination plates, specialty burritos, breakfast options, and more.

Emphasizing freshness and speed, Habaneros prepares food from scratch daily using family recipes passed down for generations and locally sourced ingredients.

The Challenge

In the beginning, Habaneros faced the biggest challenge: increasing their sales. Their areas of weakness that made this challenge even greater was their lack of  brand messaging and weak advertising. With unclear branding, they couldn’t engage the surrounding communities due to one important fact: branding is the foundation of all marketing and advertising. Due to that fact, Habaneros couldn’t have strategic, successful advertising.

When Habaneros entrusted us with their marketing, we quickly realized that branding had to come first—it was the foundation for everything that followed. After refining their brand identity, we revamped their website, making online food ordering seamless with integrations for DoorDash, UberEats, ChowNow, DinDin, Postmates, and Grubhub. To bring their flavors to life visually, we organized stunning photo and video shoots, crafting eye-catching graphics for billboards, posters, and more. Armed with a bold new look and a strategic approach, we then launched targeted advertising across digital and print platforms.

The fruits of our partnership were many. Before Habaneros partnered with Birdee, they had 3 locations; afterwards, they expanded to 6 locations. Additionally, their social media presence improved dramatically with high quality content–video and static–attracting more viewer engagement and increasing brand awareness. Other than their social media presence, their website became more engaging and user-friendly because of the high quality content and the online food ordering process; in other words, increased web traffic led to increased sales
